Children of the 80's, bow down before me

Does everyone remember the commercial from the 80's about drugs? "It's you alright! I learned it by watching you."

Also just wanted to say hi and make sure everyone is still alive!

9:38 am - Mild fuck off day
I took today off to get my car detailed (and to have a day off for something besides doctor appointments.) I cannot wait to have my car back and will tell everyone the results.

I am going to Peddler's Village for a little bit. That should be great!

3:27 pm - Lifetime Psychotic TV for biotches-syphlitic whores
For those of you on myspace, this is a paraphrased repeat. I hope this is a fun topic. Besides I need a break from the boredom of studying and hope to stir up a bit of controversy.

The other day I saw a Lifetime movie about a bitch whose husband left her, probably because she was being a bitch ("A Woman Scorned: The Elizabeth Broderick Story.") She murdered him and his second wife. Despite the poor acting and cheesiness, I decided to add the movie to my wish list. The comments I saw about the movie sparked a blog rant.

In every comment on Amazon about the movie, women sympathized with the bitch committing the murders, saying that she worked car to be a good wife and mother, and that her husband left her after all of those years. Hello! The bitch had a mental fit because her husband bought her the wrong ring for Christmas. She burnt all of his pants. She assumed that he was cheating on her, but the movie never showed that, nor showed that he left her for another woman. She was crazy!

I'll admit to getting sucked into Lifetime movies now and then, but those comments angered me. All of the Lifetime movies seem to justify bad behavior of women by saying that they were abused, cheated on, etc. The women are always made out to be heroes no matter what. Many of them are just psychos. Bad childhoods, etc are not an excuse to commit crimes. I know people with bad childhoods who still turned out to be nice people.

Bring on Spike tv!

I hate reverse sexism and femi-nazis. I don't agree with male chauvenism (like women shouldn't vote or be mechanics, etc.) I also don't agree with the other extreme that women should get a job over a man, for example, just because they are women and not because of their abilities.

I don't think Elizabeth Broderick (the character from the movie, based on a real life situation) should have her actions excused because she is a female or was the dumpee. Even if he really did cheat or what not, what she did is inexcuseable. It seemed like he was justified in leaving her anyway-he could stop going to work without pants! She was psycho!

I don't think people should use sex/gender roles, race, age, childhood abuse, etc to get out of responsibilities for their actions. I think I will be dropping comments on amazon.com! People should stop using past mistreatment of groups of people that happened because we were all born, just grow the fuck up, and be a responsible member of society.

Ok, back to studying.....

1:27 pm - dishwasher
This will be a short entry because I am very sleep deprived and have a lot to do. I am excited though because I got my new dishwasher. It will be nice not to scrub everything beforehand and dry afterwards.

My goal is to get my appliances paid off in less than six months, then buy a new oven. I need some opinions. I don't think the fridge is as old as the other appliances. A few people think that I should replace the fridge this year (before I have a car payment), a few think if it ain't broke, don't replace it. What do you think?

I've had a strange array of injuries and what not the past few days, although I am not in a bad mood. Sat I had a headache and was nauceous. I actually laughed so hard that I threw up and pulled some muscles. Today is the first day that the muscles feel remotely normal, probably because I am distracted by my mouth and hand. I did something stupid yesterday and hit my hand against the ceiling fan (which was on.) My tooth that I had the root canal on fell out Thurs, so I went to a new dentist who put it back in this morning. (I am not in as much pain as I thought I would be in.)

On the bright side, I am getting out of the 80's and getting a new dishwasher, washer, and dryer. The dryer is on it's last leg. I was going to replace the dishwasher before the dryer drama happened. I might as well do them all at once and get interest free financing so I don't have to do it down the line. (I anticipate a car payment in a year or so.) The appliances are 22 years old (same age as the house.)

I might also get paint soon to do the bathrooms. I am going to be so busy because I have a final in 3 weeks to study for.

9:27 pm - Walk for the cure
Even though I have not become too active yet, I like doing various walks for curing stuff. I did the heart walk with other NJMer's last fall. I did a walk 10 years ago for AIDS. I'd love to do cancer walks since it has hit my family often. I think there are diseases that are left out of the mix though. For example, what about a walk for syphillis?

One might say that if someone gets syphillis, it's there own fault anyway. AIDS is also an STD, although there are other ways to get it such as blood transfusions or being born to someone with AIDS in which the patient would be considered "not at fault." What if someone got syphillis from birth? Let's walk for the cure!

Actually, I think it's curable by antibiotics if I am not mistaken, but what about a syphillis vaccine?

3:26 pm - new books
I love my aunt! She is so cool! I visited her today and she gave me a few books. One of the books is a book that I almost bought myself on infamous criminals. (I don't know what it is, but I have always been facinated by deviance.) Also got a book from her on infamous mysteries and on tv. When I talk to her, I don't even feel a generation gap. I can talk to her about anything!

3:30 pm - But mom, kitty's being a dildo!
My cat SHIT on my dining room rug. I've had her for almost a year now. She did it a few times when I first got her. I was understanding because she was in a new home with new people and a new cat. There is no reason for it this time! I may bump up her annual vet visit sooner than expected. I friggin paid to get my carpets professionally cleaned months ago (not because of her.) Luckilly I have that Bissell machine-very good to get up cat puke stains and what not.

I'm ok now. On the bright side I got my tax check today.

Happy birthday Cosmo!

The term "Dutch oven" refers to the act of passing gas in bed, then pulling the covers up over the partner's head, so as to trap them with the unpleasant aroma.

What is it called then if one partner #1 farts and partner #2 pulls the covers over partner #1's head? Is that a reverse Dutch oven?

I thought of something as I enjoyed my newly disarmed seat belt alert. If I don’t wear a seat belt in my Ford, it makes an annoying ding. (I usually wear mine, but sometimes driving through the neighborhood I wait a minute or two. I know that’s wrong.) Since when does Ford care if their customers live or die? They made the Pinto! Guess they want their customers to live so they can buy another Ford. I am probably buying a new (well, pre-owned) car next year (I just have to keep up the train as long as possible to keep my mileage down.) I have a big list from Chevy to Japanese cars. At first I was thinking of an economy car. Now I am considering a small SUV. SUV’s seem to have gone down in price since gas prices went up. I’d feel much safer in one, especially since people are bullies on the road. Besides I’m tall and I need my space. I have a year to think about it.

It’s quiet today. My annoying cubicle neighbor is not here today or tomorrow. One of my co-workers even brought in candy to celebrate because she is not here. That’s how bad it is! I have a plan and I am waiting for an opportunity to execute it (or her-LOL.) I did something mildly evil and feel bad, but I think I’ll get over it. My co-workers were a little surprised because they said that I never talk. It’s the quiet ones that you have to watch out for, and I am in blunt mode today!

Happy birthday Becky!

Who do you think would be the best in bed? Kermit, Gonzo, Fozzie, or other characters in the Muppets? Don’t even ask! My friends and I are sick little monkeys.

I hate “reality” tv, but I caught an interesting new show “black and white.” A black family and white family switch roles and they are put in make up to make themselves look the opposite race. Could you imagine our group of friends putting on make up to look black?
